I’m not sure what it symbolizes, but I got around to putting polish on my shoes today.
There is something quite pleasing in having them all freshly waxed, sealed, coated and protected.
It is somehow a form of wealth; money in the bank.
Finding the time to clean and service my shoes is also a sign of balance in life. Dirty, cracking, neglected shoes are begging for help – nagging gently, but often, to be cared for.
I’m glad I found the time and space in my life to do so.
It is a good sign. I have moved beyond “crisis mode”.
