My best year of DCM, CMP and NRA-High-Power competition followed a winter where I had an international-style ten-meter air rifle on loan and a ten meter air gun range in my basement. Here in our riverside paradise, I once again have a ten-meter air-gun range. In the years since my first international-level air gun experience, I also acquired one each adequately accurate rifle and pistol to shoot on it. Sadly, I have not used them much at all recently. A couple of days ago, I celebrated a long overdue clear sally port floor and clean workbench by shooting both my air rifle and air pistol. As you can see from my notes on the target, I last shot at the […]
I have posted more than a few articles, photos and video clips on this topic. See GEOENGINEERING Today I ran across the photo at the top of this page, couldn’t resist a modest modification (in yellow), and sharing it with you … along with other photos. . . .
This guy has been visiting us lately … much to our visual and spiritual delight. He is pretty shy, spotting me from over a dozen meters away, and flitting off. I had to zoom in with my magical Canon SX-710 from almost 20 meters to capture these photos. We are all three so happy with how pretty our garden looks. It is wonderful to share it with this swallowtail, and for him to grace our garden with his beauty. After reading a bit about their life cycle, I will be letting local milkweed and other beneficials grow a little more freely. I was going to post interesting bits about the Monarch Butterfly, its amazing 4-stage, 4-generation annual life-cycle from Mexico […]
I have A LOT of “friends” on Facebook. It does not deceive me about my real-world popularity, but I do get exposed to an interesting mix of information there. I just ran across a photo of a tape measure that someone posted under the heading: I lost 6 inches around my waist. Well heck, I want to lose six inches around my waist… But I’m not so keen on the steps that would require. Ah, DUCT TAPE to the rescue. Is there anything it cannot fix? The enhanced tape measure indicates a waistline six inches less than yesterday. The really awesome thing is that my pants still fit exactly as they did before. No wardrobe refit required. No dieting. No […]

Wondoze Exploder is still the big dog in Internet browsing tools. Mozilla Firefox escapes some of its more onerous aspects, and is a strong second. Firefox adds a modicum of resistance to The Great Database accumulating everything there is to know about everybody they wish to control – roughly everybody. The best computer brains on the planet include many who are less than in love with Big Brother. They are freedom of thought’s friends. Somewhere much lower on that food chain are those who have sold their souls to The Man … the programming prostitutes. Fortunately, the A team is on our side. You do, of course, have to do your part. That brings me back to Internet browsing… and […]
I was going along with cell phone evolution for a while. I wised-up about the time they started with the “smart phone” moniker. Privacy and health concerns are enough to put me off that feed. I share a couple of recent articles below touching on some of those concerns with current knowledge. First off, I will resist the constant monitoring by Big Brother as well as I conveniently can. I phrase it that way as I recognize The Deep State is a pervasive, cancerous growth in our world. Escape is possible, but requires focus, dedication and abandonment of too many modern conveniences. My attempt at balance dictates resistance, avoidance and fershur I will not facilitate Big Brother’s snooping. That […]
These scissors have been a part of my ‘riverside tool box’ for a lot of years. They have a nice edge, cut well, seem heavy enough for shop use, and have required no maintenance. Until a couple days ago when the pivot pin broke, turning the pair of scissors into two useless pieces of plastic and steel. Fortunately I have tools, assorted hardware and ingenuity. Rather than a trip to the new scissor store, I drilled the pivot point out to fit a bolt I had on hand. After reassembly, the reunited PAIR of scissors now works as well as they ever did. Quality I like, form that functions, less time than a trip to town and my familiar […]
July 4th is flags, beer, barbecue and fireworks. What for? All of our lawyers are contracted affiliates of the British Bar Association. Sixty percent of the USofA senators and 43% of our congresscritters are lawyers. British bankers own “our” federal reserve, and, thus complete control of our money. So Brits own our courts, our legislature and our economy. What exactly did the colonists of 1776 win independence from? And about this flag USofA politicians, courts and ENFORCERS of their laws wave around… It is The Flag Of The Admiralty. What exactly are you celebrating?
