posse meeting Tuesday

The next posse meeting is April 2 at 1900 hrs. This will be a very significant one for the Neighborhood Posse of Ada County. The good news is the posse was called out on short notice and successfully rode to the rescue. We could have been better organized, but we could hardly have gained a better outcome. We have to count it as a success for our urgent response team and a warning to establish a better protocol for the future. The bad news for this group is that I am moving to Montana. It gets worse in that things have fallen into place to make the move a major rush. I have to be in Conner/Darby on April […]

life changing events

The humongous news is a major life change for Ted and Missy. Her new job is not fun, rewarding, nor good for her. That was becoming increasingly obvious to me. Enter The Fixer. Wednesday evening, the 6th, I realized we had to change something. Thursday I researched real estate near our best friends in Montana. Thursday evening Missy agreed that it was worth further investigation. Friday our great friends previewed the nearby manufactured home along the Bitterroot River for me. Sunday I took my clapped-out econo-box for the best run of its life bobbing and weaving up over 350 miles of gloriously twisty mountain roads in 5 1/2 hours of unadulterated joy. I haven’t had fun like that since I […]

feels about right

Nature intended me for the tranquil pursuits of science, by rendering them my supreme delight. But the enormities of the times in which I have lived have forced me to commit myself on the boisterous ocean of political passions. Thomas Jefferson Okay, I’d add nature, music, tinkering and a few more. But I’d keep the basic point the same: There is no joy for me in politics, resisting and organizing. It is just that the alternative I see is much, much worse.

number one

The number one cause of death. A You Tube video (2 minutes 16 seconds long) It turns out to be preventable through education.

what kind of people are these?

What kind of people can shoot-to-kill a target like this? A supplier to Homeland Security created a set of targets like this. I discuss the ramifications over at Idaho Liberty .com: http://www.idaholiberty.com/you-and-i-are-the-targets/ I continue to be amazed at the number of people who have not awakened to The State of affairs. Oh, but this video explains the widespread lack of awareness: ex-KGB defector 7-minute You Tube And much more thorough, but appears to be more of the above interview: ex-KGB defector 17-minute You Tube. This longer one is prefaced by an ad you can skip after 5 seconds.

Idaho Tech Repair

I love my small town. I came from Office Depot where the wireless repair option for the Lenovo laptop I bought there was to purchase a $40 or $70 usb plug-in wireless. I only have four usb ports in this laptop and they are all spoken for. Not a desirable choice. They suggested a repair facility on the far side of Boise, but I knew I had one right close to home in Kuna. So I headed home. Idaho Tech Repair has a standard 6-hour diagnostic program that will analyze the hardware for $25. Well, I can’t have my fans waiting over the weekend for my next precious post, can I? I’ll just have to bring it in some morning […]

courtin’ disaster

My wife’s news tidbit of the day was an NPR story this morning that the brown color in some “food product” was actually made from cow poop. I don’t know if that is true or not, but my mind skips that discussion and jumps straight to the next step that will happen VS what should happen. What will happen will NOT have any negative consequences for the people who decided to put cow poop in a product sold as food. Neither is it likely to compensate the people who paid for and consumed stuff they no longer consider to be good food. No. Third and fourth parties who have no dog in the race at all will move a bunch […]
